SERIES 1
This was my first design, it features fairly small
tone holes and has a pleasant woody tone. Developed for ease of
playing, this
flute is popular with small handed players.
SERIES 2
Features a wider bore and larger tone holes typical
of a “Pratten” flute. A more strident tone,
particularly on the lower notes.
SERIES R
This is a “warts and all” copy of a
flute by Rudall and Rose C1830.
Materials
African blackwood and boxwood are available as
standard, other timbers subject to availability.
Tip rings can be made from brass, artificial ivory,
boxwood or Sterling silver.
Keywork
My keywork is handmade by myself and can be
tailored to a players specific needs.
I do not charge extra for left handed flutes.
